Bellevue pizzeria hit with health department consumer alert

A popular pizzeria in Bellevue, near Ross Township, was hit with a consumer Alert yesterday, according to the Allegheny County Health Department.

R&B’s Pizza Place on Lincoln Avenue was cited for unsafe holding temperatures, malfunctioning facilities to maintain temperatures and lack of a probe thermometer. The Health Department’s food safety assessment report also included violations for date marking of food and cleaning and sanitation.

This isn’t the first time that R&B Pizza has been cited by the Allegheny County Health Department. Last October, violations included employee hygiene, pest management and contamination prevention.
