A proposed final budget for the amount of funds that is required by the School District in its several departments for the following fiscal year will be brought up for final action at the meeting of the Board to be held in the Board Room at Central Administration, 200 Hillvue Lane, on Wednesday, June 26, 2019 at 7:00 pm.
According to the Tribune-Review, the board is considering tax hikes to pay for building upgrades and teacher pensions. The new rate will cost taxpayers an additional $68.50 a year for each $100,000 of their property’s assessed value, according to district officials. The final budget includes a 3.7% hike.
At this time and place a formal poll of votes will be taken and the budget will be adopted as presented, or with minor modifications, or it will be returned for further consideration and major amendment. Upon final adoption, official copies will be filed with the Department of Education in Harrisburg, PA.
